The Hisuian Discoveries Event was just announced for Pokémon Go, bringing players back in time to discover some of the Hisui Pokémon that existed before people and Pokémon lived together peacefully. First introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Hisui region is the past version of Diamond and Pearl's Sinnoh region. Hisui is the historical period when people first settled and discovered what would later become Sinnoh, changing the Pokémon world.
Pokémon Go has been having a productive summer in what they call the Season of GO. The Season of GO began on June 1 and will continue until September 1. Traditionally its most popular season, Pokémon Go plans tons of events for the summer, from significant meet-up events to small community days.

From Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, until Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Pokémon Go is launching the Hisuian Discoveries event. During this event, players can experience new Pokémon debuts, wild encounters, and more. It begins at 10 am local time and ends at 8 pm local time, so players have six days to participate in this new Pokémon Go event.
There will be three new Pokémon debuting in Pokémon Go's Hisuian Discoveries Event: Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel. In addition to these new Pokémon drops, players will encounter the following Pokémon more frequently in the wild:

Players looking to collect more Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go are encouraged to play during the Hisuian Discovery Event. There will also be new Pokémon Raids; Sneasel, Roselia, and Shinx will be One-Star Raids, while Chansey, Togetic, Kirlia, and Whiscash will be Three-Star Pokémon Go Raids.
