The summer is flying by and after a busy June and July, Pokemon GO players are getting ready to head into the final third of the Season of Go. The August 2022 event calendar is available now and players can start looking ahead to see what the mobile AR experience has in store for them over the coming four weeks.
Once again, the calendar for this month isn't quite as jam-packed as it was back in May and June, but that doesn't mean there isn't reason for excitement. The Pokemon GO August calendar is going to feature the game's first ever Championship event. The exact details of what that means likely won't arrive for a few weeks, but it's certainly going to be a major occasion and could help motivate some lapsed players to return for the historic occasion.
New Pokemon Presents Announced for This Week, Will Include Scarlet and Violet News
In addition to the Championship, trainers can also look forward to the usual lineup of Community Day, Raid Hours, Spotlight Hours, and possibly other surprise standalone events. The other major event that has already been confirmed is the Bug Out! As players might guess, that festivity will put the spotlight on Bug-type Pokemon with some special spawns, features, and challenges.
