Pokemon Fans Think Pokemon Mystery Dungeon May Be Coming Back
Many fans are speculating that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon might be making a comeback soon in some form. The last iteration of the game to be released was the 2020 Nintendo Switch game Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX. That title was a remake of 2005's Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team and Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team, which originally released for the Gameboy Advance.
The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series is a spin-off from the main Pokemon line. In these games, the Pokemon are able to speak human language and navigate the game world similarly to Shiren The Wanderer. Mystery Dungeon follows a roguelike formula with randomly generated dungeons and turn-based moves — quite different to the collection-style gameplay from most games in the franchise. Now, rumors might point to signs that the title will be making a comeback in some form soon.

Fans believe that an entry in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon could be announced soon due to a listing on the Pokemon Together website. The website was launched by The Pokemon Company to host contests and news related to Pokemon Day. However, following the launch, eagle-eyed users decided to dig deeper into the website in hopes of finding new announcements. This led them to find a copyright attribution to Spike Chunsoft dated 1993 to 2023.
No statements have been made yet, but fans have speculated that a new entry might be on the way since Spike Chunsoft is the developer of the Mystery Dungeon series. Rumors point out that the announcement relating to the title could be released on Pokemon Day 2023.
