A Pokémon fan recently pointed out that the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, specifically Newfoundland island, looks very similar to Legendary Water-type Pokémon Suicune. Suicune is one of the most elusive Pokémon in the titular game series, often roaming across the in-game map and running away when encountered. In part due to its evasive nature and unique attributes (it can purify water by walking through it), Suicune is a highly coveted addition to any trainer's party.
