The box art for mainline Pokemon games has changed over the years. The first Generation in the franchise showcased the final evolutions of the starter pocket monsters and changed to the featured legendary in the second Generation. Just like the games, the cover art for Pokemon titles has evolved while keeping many aspects the same.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature the legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon on their covers, keeping the trend of the box art for a Pokemon game featuring the main legendary in that entry. However, one fan of the RPG series imagined what the cover art would look like if it used the recently announced Cyclizar as the focus pocket monster instead.

A Redditor known as VAC7 posted an image of art that they made featuring the Dragon/Normal-Type Cyclizar as the featured Pokemon on box art. The artist drew the work in the style of the first Generation of the series, with the creature being surrounded by the words «The Pocket Monster Trainer» referring back to the original name of the franchise instead of the more known shortened version, «Pokemon.» The box features a green color theme, and shows Cyclizar in washed out colors. VAC7's piece harkens back to the start of Nintendo's series, bringing up a sense of nostalgia for those who played Pokemon all those years ago.
VAC7's artwork has gained a few fans. One commenter stated that they would wear the piece on a leather jacket, while another mentioned that they preferred the name «Pocket Monsters» over «Pokemon.» A user said that the Biker trainer class needs to make a return and that they should ride around Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's Paldea region
