Microsoft’s head of gaming may be teasing Xbox’s upcoming game streaming device in a new office photo.
Codenamed ‘Keystone’, the device will enable players to stream Xbox games to TVs or monitors without the need for a console.
On Monday, Xbox boss Phil Spencer posted a new photo of his office featuring a Vault Boy statue which he said was visiting to celebrate Fallout’s 25th anniversary this month.
Eagle-eyed Twitter uses quickly noticed a mysterious looking white device on Spencer’s top shelf, which is Xbox’s upcoming game streaming hardware, according to The Verge.

It wouldn’t be the first time Spencer has teased an upcoming product in this way prior to its official reveal. Ahead of the launch of Microsoft’s current-gen consoles in November 2020, Spencer hid Xbox Series S in plain site on his bookshelf during interviews.
And a Kojima Productions figurine spotted on Spencer’s shelf last year was reportedly a hint at an Xbox partnership that was officially confirmed in June.
Microsoft said in May that it had decided to change its approach to Keystone, suggesting the device’s launch could be some way off.
“As announced last year, we’ve been working on a game-streaming device, codename Keystone, that could be connected to any TV or monitor without the need for a console,” it said.
“As part of any technical journey, we are constantly evaluating our efforts, reviewing our learnings, and ensuring we are bringing value to our customers.
“We have made the decision to pivot away from the current iteration of the Keystone device. We will take our learnings and refocus our efforts on a new approach that will allow us to deliver Xbox Cloud Gaming
