Persona 5 will leave the PS Plus Collection on May 11, 2022, Sony has confirmed.
In a new blog post confirming April’s PlayStation Plus games, the platform holder confirmed that the JRPG will be removed from the PS Plus Collection soon.
Players who add the game to their library before the removal will still be able to play the game for the duration of their PS Plus subscription.
The PS Plus Collection features a series of PS4 titles including many Sony first-party games, however, the service also offers third-party titles such as Fallout 4, Final Fantasy XV and Monster Hunter World.
The service launched with the PlayStation 5 in November 2020 and has seen little change in the lineup since then.
April’s PlayStation Plus games have been confirmed to include online multiplayer game Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Slay the Spire and Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated.
Sony officially announced plans to revamp its PlayStation Plus service this week.
The new service will combine two of its existing subscription offerings, PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now, and phase out the branding of the latter.
It will launch for PS4 and PS5 starting in June, structured across three payment tiers: Essentials, Extra and Premium.
PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan has said in a new interview that Sony‘s games “could suffer” if they were added to PlayStation Plus on day one. This is in contrast to Microsoft‘s Xbox Game Pass service which adds first-party titles like Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 on release day.
