Overwatch 2 is getting its first Halloween event on October 25 in just under two weeks, running until November 8, and it's bringing with it a four-player PvE mode and a few seasonal skins.
This event is called Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride, and it adds skins for Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko. Those three, along with Ashe, are the four playable characters in the new PvE mode, and given that the other three are getting skins, it's likely we can expect Ashe to receive her own, too.

Kiriko, much like fellow healer Mercy, is getting a witch-themed skin complete with her own broomstick. Sojourn has a noir detective-style getup with a few neon trims to give it that futuristic facelift, while Junker Queen is fittingly more of a Mad Max raider. The three can be seen in the promo art holding off a corridor as zombified robots come lurking around the corner.
It's still unclear how events will work in Overwatch 2 compared to the first game. In the original, events came with their own loot boxes which you could earn by simply playing the game. When opening these, you were in with a chance for themed cosmetics. However, with loot boxes no longer in the game, it's unclear if you'll only be able to get skins through coins. You can earn 60 a week, meaning you'll only be able to get around 120 during the event with the current system.
Perhaps playing the PvE mode will net us one or two skins, but until Blizzard reveals anything, all we can do is wait and see. In the meantime, maybe save those coins you're earning. Legendary skins cost 1,900 coins, so it'll take you a while to grind for just one.
