Overwatch 2’s second public beta is now live for players to try out before the game launches in October. This beta allows fans to playtest the new maps, modes, and characters coming to Overwatch’s highly anticipated sequel. Moreover, this beta includes gamers on Xbox and PlayStation hardware, allowing console players to join in testing out Overwatch 2.
The first beta saw a huge number of prospective players tune into Twitch livestreams for Overwatch 2 access, though now Blizzard is asking for more than a filled-out form to guarantee access to the game. This guide will show hopefuls how to get access to the beta before it ends on July 18.
Overwatch 2 is Removing Levels
While players could previously sign up for the Overwatch 2 beta to ensure access, theJune 28 deadline has already passed. If they did manage to sign up, Blizzard has promised all signees access by July 14, so fans must play a waiting game until that cherished confirmation email lands in their inbox. Though some eager Overwatch fans who signed up have already received theirs, the first large wave of emails is expected to arrive on July 5.
Unlike before, the only other way that players can get into the second beta is by buying the new Overwatch 2: Watchpoint Pack. This can be purchased at any time and guarantees immediate access to this beta and the game's early access in October.
Overwatch 2 players can find this on most platforms, Xbox and PlayStation stores included, and on Battle.net itself.
Please be aware that the Watchpoint Pack unlocks beta access exclusively on the platform it is purchased on.
