The news came via a September 15 tweet from the official Mobius Digital Twitter account in which the developer revealed improved performance for Xbox Series X and PS5. According to the message from the developer, the game now runs at 60fps. Furthermore, the max resolution has been increased to support 4K. A short video was released in conjunction with the announcement to celebrate this next-gen update for Outer Wilds.
Beyond bringing an enhanced version of Outer Wilds to PS5 and Xbox Series X, Mobius Digital answered several questions regarding the next-gen update.
