With the advent of the internet, sites like Amazon and eBay afford people the convenience of shopping online, which can be even sweeter when there are deals and discounts. With Amazon Prime Day now underway, there are a ton of tech products that are going for reduced prices. One category includes graphics cards, and it looks as though a bunch of AMD and Nvidia hardware is currently going for pretty much their recommended retail prices.
A quick look on Amazon's website does indeed show that GPUs are going for cheaper over the next day or two. For the past year and a half or so, many have been finding it near impossible to get cards at decent prices, if they could even get them at all. But now, there's a bit of breathing space, so getting hold of an Nvidia or AMD product should be a bit easier for the time being. A report from PC Gamer has been showing some examples, such as a Gigabyte RX 6800 XT which is going for £650, or around $770.

It appears to get even better. At the time of writing, an AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT from XFX is currently 36% off, selling for $900, while a Gigabyte RTX 3080 Ti is going for just over $1,200, representing a 22% discount. Of course, that's still pretty expensive, but those who have been waiting patiently in the wings for GPUs to drop to their MSRPs may finally be able to snag the hardware they've been hoping for.
By contrast, the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti, which released in March of this year, is just 10% off and is selling for $2,038 for the MSI SUPRIM X model.
