Next week’s free Epic Games Store titles have been revealed.
Rogue Legacy and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter will be free to download from Epic’s marketplace from April 7-14.
They will replace City of Brass, which is billed as “a first-person action adventure, inspired by Arabian Nights, from senior BioShock developers,” and Creative Assembly‘s Total War: Warhammer, both of which are now free until April 7.
The Epic Games Store gave away 89 free titles last year (down from 103 in 2020), with a combined worth of $2,120.
According to Epic, users claimed over 765 million free games in 2021.
The Epic Games Store is currently running its Spring Sale, featuring savings of up to 75% on over 560 games.
On Tuesday, Epic officially launched Fortnite’s new Zero Build battle royale mode after a limited time trial proved popular with players.
The company recently committed to donating “all its Fortnite proceeds” to Ukraine humanitarian relief efforts for a two-week period ending on April 3. It has been joined by Xbox, which is also set to donate its “net proceeds” from Fortnite during this time.
Over $100 million had been raised as of March 29. The money will go to four humanitarian relief organisations – Direct Relief, the United Nations Children’s Fund, the United Nations World Food Programme, and the United Nations Refugee Agency.
