Amazon Games is preparing to launch the new Legacy of Crassus event for its colonial-themed MMORPG New World. The upcoming event, which features new bosses, items, and daily rewards, goes live on February 21 and runs until March 7.
Amazon Games launchedNew World in September 2021. An MMO action RPG set in the fictional North Atlantic island of Aeternum, the game received a massive amount of hype leading up to its release and a significant spike in popularity early on. However, a troubled launch and persistent issues resulted in its player numbers falling off early in 2021, and New World saw only mediocre reviews upon release. Still, Amazon has not given up on the game and continues to roll out new events and content.
Amazon Games Shares New World Couple’s Love Story
Legacy of Crassus is the latest of these new events. New World’s upcoming event sees the might of Rome return to Aeternum. Although players kill Crassus during New World’s Ennead Expedition, his Corrupted Legion is not defeated, embarking on an invasion of the southern lands. Carrying out a plan laid centuries prior, Crassus’ followers summon the cyclopes Lucanus and Decimus to subjugate the island.
Players will need to hunt down these monstrous centurions if they intend to save the island from Roman dominion. New World players can battle both in two new level 66 boss fights and unlock eight exclusive weapons and armor pieces. Players can challenge these New World bosses by looking for portals opening around New World’s island of Aeternum. They can find them at Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove.
