Sony has officially revealed its Xbox Game Pass rival, a brand-new subscription service branded as the all-new PlayStation Plus, combining the current PS Plus and PlayStation Now services. The bottom tier would effectively be a replacement for Sony's current PlayStation Plus service, while higher tiers would give access to classic PlayStation and PlayStation 2 titles. While Project Spartacus has only just been officially announced, even Xbox head Phil Spencer has stated that a PlayStation equivalent to Game Pass was inevitable.
