Developer FromSoftware says that Elden Ring will continue receiving more updates in the future. The open-world fantasy epic brings players to the Lands Between on a quest to claim the title of Elden Lord. Since launch several Elden Ring buff and nerf patches have adjusted the balance of the soulslike title, and more changes are apparently on the way.
Upon release Elden Ring was highly praised for its massive open world, fascinating lore and in-depth RPG mechanics. However, several post-launch updates have improved the title even further by introducing helpful new mechanics. For example, following an Elden Ring patch NPCs that players encounter are now added to the game's map, making it significantly easier to follow questlines and return to see specific characters. Many balance updates released since launch have also buffed or nerfed key items and bosses that were deemed too weak or too strong. A recent Elden Ring multiplayer feature patch added a sound effect when summon signs appear, helping players call for aid even if the summon sign is hard to see.

An interview with FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki, conducted by 4Gamer and translated by Twitter user Nibel, reveals that more Elden Ring updates are on the way. The massive RPG launched back in February, but it seems clear that FromSoftware is still working to make the beloved title even better. The size of these future updates is not specified, so Miyazaki could be talking about additional patches and updates to tweak the title's balance.
