The source that leaked Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s name has additional details about the game, including a correction to their last leak.
Even after Ubisoft admitted that it’s next game is titled Assassin’s Creed Mirage, more information has leaked out ahead of the actual annoucement.
This leak comes from the same source which revealed its title (after previous leaks only mentioned codename Rift) and stated that it will be returning to the non-role-playing formula of the original games.
Previously, they said that the game will feature four different cities to explore, but now they’ve amended their claim to say that there’s just one city: Baghdad. However, it’s divided into multiple zones (supposedly four), each containing a boss fight.
Other leaks already pointed to Baghdad being the setting for the game and Ubisoft’s artwork practically guarantees a Middle Eastern setting, lending credence to the information.
The newest leak adds that Ubisoft is aiming to have as many non-playable characters populate the streets as was seen in 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Unity.
This all comes from French YouTuber j0nathan, whose information has been translated and shared on Twitter.
Other claims include the return of throwing knives and hiding spots on rooftops, slow motion assassinations, and lots of parkour opportunities, such as being able to swing round corners using lanterns.
It’s worth remembering that Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier described j0nathan’s last leak as being only partially accurate. While details like the name matched up with Schreier’s information, he claimed some of it was wrong. He was never specific about what was inaccurate but that presumably includes the four cities part.
