Minecraft Celebrates Wild Update With Special Edition Xbox Console

To celebrate the Minecraft Wild Update, Xbox has revealed an exclusive Deep Dark Xbox Series S bundle that resembles the terrifying Warden. The upcoming update will expand Mojang's survival simulator by adding mangrove swamps, the terrifying Deep Dark biome and more. An Xbox Series X based on Top Gun: Maverickwas recently revealed by Microsoft, and Minecraft's Deep Dark has inspired another artistic console design.

First announced back in October 2021, the Wild Update will bring a variety of exciting new features to Minecraft. The expansion will flesh out the title's swampy biomes by adding mangrove trees, frogs, mud blocks and more. Traversing the shallow water of these mangrove swamps will also be made easier thanks to the addition of boats with built-in storage chests. Alongside above-ground biomes, the Wild Update will also add a terrifying new underground area for Minecraft fans to explore. The Deep Dark will contain valuable loot, but it will also be patrolled by a nearly unstoppable monster called the Warden. The Deep Dark biome will contain music discs, too, which will apparently shed light on the tense region's origins.

To commemorate the Wild Update, Xbox (via Twitter) has revealed a gorgeous custom Xbox Series S inspired by Minecraft's Deep Dark biome and its Warden protector. The special edition system's dark blue and green hues perfectly match the underground region's Sculk substance, which thrives on death and can alert enemies to the player's presence.
