As Milestone Media continues to reboot the Dakotaverse, it has been announced thatBlood Syndicate will be the next title to return to DC Comics. Throughout the 1990s, Milestone Media introduced comic book readers to the superheroes of Dakota City, including Icon, Rocket, Static, and Hardware among others. However, one of the most popular series followed meta-humans who weren’t ordinary heroes.
The Blood Syndicate has been described as a gang, making them a distinct team from Dakota’s other protectors. Recently, the 90s run became available for the first time in print with Milestone Compendium One. The originalBlood Syndicate is also available in digital format on DC Universe Infinite. Now, joining the first seasons of ongoing titles such as Icon and Rocket, Hardware, and Static, Blood Syndicate will expand the new Dakotaverse.

It has been announced by DC Comics thatBlood Syndicate: Season One will be a six-issue limited series written by Geoffrey Thorne (Green Lantern) with art by ChrisCross (Static: Season One) and Juan Castro (Arrow). The series will feature the return of Tech-9, Wise Son, and Fade to Paris Island, which is known as an impoverished area gravely affected by the Big Bang. After Wise Son and Tech-9 come home from serving as a part of the military in Afghanistan, they realize that Dakota has changed. Superheroes like Static, Icon, Rocket, and Hardware are fighting against crime, and other bang babies are forming gangs. The meta-human known as “Holocaust” is putting together a team as he attempts to keep Paris Island for himself.
