King of the Hill creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels are back on top. It’s been over 25 years since their hit animated comedy series, King of the Hill, first aired on the Fox network. Now, the funny duo is reuniting by launching their brand-new animation company, Bandera Entertainment.
Judge and Daniels have spent the past years putting all of their focus and creativity into Bandera, having big dreams and goals to bring forward groundbreaking content. The two are obviously masters when it comes to both animation and comedic timing, but they also have a desire to break the stereotypes often attached to animated series. Most animated series either fall strictly in the comedy, fantasy, or action genres, leaving out a whole range of possibilities.

Judge and Daniels are determined to push the format of animation, challenging the viewer's previous notions of what animated series have to be about, and what type of mood must be delivered in order to render them success. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, which broke the news of Judge and Daniels' new venture, Daniels stated, “We were very excited to go into different tones and different styles and try to expand the animation art form. We’re in a golden age for content, right? That’s animation too. That was one of the things we were talking about in founding the company: let’s push animation into all these different genres.” Luckily, Judge and Daniels aren’t alone in this ambitious endeavor, joining them is former YouTube Head of Originals Dustin Davis.
