Board game makers CMON and Spin Master Games have released new details about Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game, which will allow players to either fend off an army of undead superheroes as the Uncanny X-Men or conquer the world as the meta-powered zombie hoard. Marvel has seen a new wave of success on the gaming front in recent years, thanks to successful video game titles like Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man series and Square Enix’s Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, in addition to promising future releases like Marvel’s Midnight Sunsand Marvel’s Wolverine.
Marvel Zombies is a 2005 comic book miniseries by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman where, as the title implies, the world’s superheroes are infected with a zombie virus from another dimension — and much chaos ensues for Earth’s few remaining survivors. The storyline would spawn many follow-ups and even get an MCU adaptation in the Marvel: What If? animated series. A Marvel Zombies spin-off is currently planned for Disney Plus, but there's even more scope for Marvel zombies in gaming.

As reported by ComicBook, CMON and Spin Master Games have unveiled new details about their latest zombie-based project, Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game. First announced back in November, Marvel Zombies: A Zombicide Game puts players in a world overrun by zombified versions of iconic Marvel heroes like Iron Man and Captain America, and comes in two variations: the standard Marvel Zombies game and an expansion, X-Men Resistance.
