Marvel Snap’s Season 2 has gone live, with new cards and locations based on Black Panther.
Season 2: Warriors of Wakanda adds four new locations and a new character card in Black Panther, a four-power card which doubles its power via an On Reveal Effect.
The game’s new Season Pass introduces variant cards, avatars and card backs based on the Black Panther series. In a new video, published below, Marvel Snap’s art director Jomaro Kindred explains the new content.
Marvel Snap is developed by Second Dinner, a team led by Ben Brode, who formerly directed Blizzard’s Hearthstone.
The game sees players lay cards out across three bays, each card possessing a number value. The aim is for your card’s number value in each bay to be higher than your opponent’s. Whoever wins two out of three bays wins the game.
Marvel Snap features over 1000 card art variants, covering Marvel’s most popular heroes and some of its more obscure ones, represented in dozens of different ways.
At launch, the game features an unranked mode, a season pass, and daily log-in missions in order to build your deck. Marvel Snap will add player vs player multiplayer later this year.
