Lost Ark is the new big online RPG of 2022, coming from obscurity to replace the ailing New World as Amazon Game’s MMO meal ticket. The game’s benefited from various factors, including a great early game experience, exposure from popular Twitch streamers, and the vacuum created by World of Warcraft’slong-term decline. These circumstances allowed it to flourish in spite of a buggy launch, multiple server issues, and excessively long queue times in some regions.
Developer Smilegate rolled out a significant update in the early hours of yesterday morning. Lost Ark’s servers went offline for about three hours as the developers rolled out a major patch. The update included multiple bug fixes while also laying the groundwork for a new server region.

The developer announced the update on Lost Ark’s Twitter account and provided a link to the full patch notes on the game’s official forums. It contains fixes for seven of Lost Ark’s multiple known issues, two of which related to the game’s premium currency and cash shop. One fix resolved a bug that prevented players from getting their Royal Crystals refunded at the game’s Currency Exchange. The developers also fixed the connection issues that some players experienced with the game’s store.
The patch also resolves a glitch where Lost Ark’s Northern Lawmaker skin wouldn’t display correctly if the player character died while wearing it. In addition, it repaired several glitches with Lost Ark’s user interface. For example, the patch fixes a glitch with Procyon’s Compass schedule where it displayed incorrect times for the limited-time Adventure Island areas.
