Earlier this year, Nintendo fans received Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the 13th mainline game in the Kirby franchise, which is still a popular game that players are enjoying and is considered by many to be one of the best games in the franchise. Now, in the same year, fans will receive Kirby's Dream Buffet, which, though it isn't the same action adventure platformer as Kirby and the Forgotten Land or the popular Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, still promises some multiplayer platforming fun for all.

The release trailer for the game makes Kirby's Dream Buffet look like it takes the multiplayer racing of Fall Guys and mixes it with the party games style of Mario Party and throws it all together in this world of the Dream Buffet. The premise of the game, as shown in the trailer, is that Kirby is about to dig into a delicious looking cake, but is then somehow zapped by some sort of shrink ray and miniaturized. The game then becomes a multiplayer race and battle royale in the world of desserts.
