Square Enix has announced that Kingdom Hearts 4 is on the way, but Nintendo Switch fans shouldn't get their hopes up, as it's unlikely that Sora's next adventure will be coming to their system. The Kingdom Hearts 4 reveal trailer showed off some stunning visuals, where Sora is trapped in a contemporary setting, and battling a massive shadow monster on the streets. A lot has been said about the shift in art style, with the world looking more realistic than it did in previous Kingdom Hearts games, but it's still impressive to behold.
The only evidence to suggest that Kingdom Hearts 4 was on the way was a mention in the GeForce Now leak, which many people thought was a placeholder name, or something that was speculative on the part of Nvidia. It seems the GeForce Now leak is legit, as Kingdom Hearts 4 is real, and will almost certainly be coming to PC in the future. The fact that Kingdom Hearts fans had to wait nearly fifteen years between Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3 meant that no one expected a fourth mainline entry so soon. With that being said, the Kingdom Hearts 4 trailer lacked a release date, so it could very well spend years in development.

Sora has had at least one major role on the Nintendo Switch, as he was the final DLC character added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Despite this, the Kingdom Hearts series hasn't been a major player on Nintendo systems, with the majority of the Nintendo Kingdom Hearts titles being spin-offs on handheld systems.
