Last week, Doom co-creator John Romero released a brand-new level to raise money for humanitarian charities helping those in Ukraine amidst Russia's invasion. As the war continues, he has revealed the new level raised €25,000.
The Doom 2 level - which is Romero's first since '94 - only costs €5, meaning that around 5,000 people have bought it (thanks, Eurogamer). And 100 percent of the proceeds are going to the Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Respond Fund, helping Ukrainians caught in the conflict.

The Pokemon Company also chipped in, donating $200,000, while Garry's Mod and Rust's prices were raised in Russia by creator Garry Newman. He also pledged $500,000 to charities that are helping Ukrainians.
Game developers across the world, whether they're in neighbouring countries like Poland or across the ocean are helping to raise money and put pressure on Russia alongside sanctions. Cyberpunk 2077 was even review bombed on Steam after CD Projekt Red pulled its games from Russia and Belarus. There are plenty of ways you can chip in, whether it's buying levels like John Romero's or getting whole games like This War of Mine, or you
