Over the last week and a half, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has united the world in solidarity as everyone hopes for a peaceful resolution. Huge companies have begun suspending business with Russia, including the likes of EA, Intel, Apple, AMD, and more recently, Nvidia. The world of game development is also standing by the people of Ukraine, and among them is legendary developer John Romero, who's new Doom map has been doing some good.
In a recent post on Twitter, the ex-id Software designer, and co-founder, has said that One Humanity, a new map for Doom 2, has so far raised over €25K, or more than $27K, for the Ukrainian relief efforts. Romero added that all proceeds from the sale of the level have gone to the Red Cross as well as the UN Central Emergency Response Fund. He thanked everyone who has so far participated and helped raise thousands. At the time of writing, the map is still available on the website for anyone who wishes to purchase it.

Romero released the new Doom 2 level just a few days ago, so to see that so much has been raised in such a short amount of time shows the charitable side of the gaming community. For anyone who is still interested in playing One Humanity, it can be downloaded from the developer's own website for €5 or around $5.45. Again, just to make it clear, 100% of the money paid for the map will go towards helping the people of Ukraine.
