Sony's superhero movie Morbius, which stars Jared Leto and has spawned many memes, is out now on Netflix. «It's Morbin' Time!,» Netflix declared, referencing the popular meme about the movie.
Morbius, which is a Spider-Man universe film, stars Leto as a scientist trying to save himself from a rare blood disease but ultimately becoming a monster himself. The film also stars Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, and Jared Harris.

After delays related to COVID, Morbius was released in theaters in April 2022. Itmade $164 million worldwide against a budget of $39 million, and critics generally did not like it.
The «It's Morbin' Time» memes that followed helped to keep the film in the zeitgeist, and presumably because of this, Sony brought it back to theaters. However, its re-release didn't do much business.
While it remains to be seen if Morbius will get a sequel, Sony's Spider-Man universe will continue with Venom 3, Madame Web, and presumably more Spider-Man films.
