iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 have seen lower demand than ever! The iPhone 14 Plus has been less than a week old and Apple is still not seeing any demand for the non-Pro iPhone 14 variants. Customers continue to opt for the Pro variants of the iPhone 14 despite the higher prices. Apple expects the sales figures to not improve anytime soon and hence, there might be reduction in production of spare parts as well as the handsets.
The report, which comes from DigiTimes, says that the sales of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus “are considerably overshadowed by an "enthusiastic" response to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.” It is said that the total iPhone 14 shipments will be almost the same as the iPhone 13 lineup sales last year in the same period.
The iPhone 14 Plus is actually the new addition to the iPhone 14 lineup this year. It replaces the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 Mini, and bumps up the display size, battery capacity, as well as the price. In fact, the iPhone 14 Plus now sits between the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro as a filler model, offering a large screen iPhone experience that was missing to the non-Pro iPhone buyers since the iPhone 8 Plus.
With the iPhone 14 Plus, it was expected that Apple would set the sales charts on fire. After all, the iPhone 14 Plus offers a much larger 6.7-inch display, which was expected to win hearts. Apple also says the iPhone 14 Plus will offer the best battery life on any iPhone till date with its large battery capacity. This formula had worked in the past and it was expected to work again this year.
That said, it has been barely a week since the iPhone 14 Plus hit the shelves and hence, it is too early to judge. Also, you should know that the iPhone 14 Plus is expensive, starting at Rs.
