Since then, players have been combing through various film clips and uncovering the story of fictional actress Marissa Marcel and her fate after she went missing. While Immortality has been met with a positive reception and even received perfect scores, it appears that one of the game's achievements is bugged, even after uncovering all the footage in the game.
Immortality is an interactive film puzzle game in which players look through various clips and materials from Marcel's films. The game was created by Sam Barlow, who also made the acclaimed Her Storyand its spiritual successor, Telling Lies. Barlow had been teasing about the game's release and its mystery-solving focus since 2020. Though a lot of people have completed the game at this point, one mystery was looming: how to unlock a specific achievement in the game, and it appears the achievement is bugged.

While a lot of players have assumed the achievement for the game was bugged after scrapping through the game's menus and all the in-game content, the official Immortality Twitter account put out a tweet on September 1 that confirmed the achievement called «Another Reality» is not unlocking properly. The tweet also acknowledges a few other bugs the game has, such as the Xbox Series X/S version of the game freezing in the middle of the credits. Though, some players have stated that they are also experiencing the freeze bug on the Steam version as well. While freezes and glitches are not surprising in modern releases, it doesn't make the experience any less frustrating for players.
