Halondrus stands tall for another day, as guilds bash themselves against the hardest wall in the history of Mythic Raiding that wasn't an end boss or penultimate boss. Check out all the Race to World First livestreams here! At almost 300 wipes, Liquid and Echo are both yet to see the final 10% of the encounter, and discussion in today's recap highlights just how we've gotten to this point and how unprecedented this is! Halondrus has taken two minor nerfs but the question is being asked if more are potentially deserved in order to keep the race moving and make sure that we get to Anduin and Rygelon before they're outgeared.
With Vantus Runes already popped on Halondrus, this race is clearly going to at least the second reset, and the third reset is looking increasingly likely, in what would be the first time since Kil'jaeden back in Tomb of Sargeras five years ago. Splits have also been ongoing, as has Heroic Jailer, with both BDGG and Liquid taking out the final boss on that difficulty, along with two chinese guilds, Alpha (who got it first), and 清水金团! The mace from the boss is actually rather strong, and as gearing looks to be increasingly a valuable use of time rather than progressing the wall.
