The next Nintendo Direct live stream will take place later today and you‘ll be able to watch events unfold live here.
Nintendo recently confirmed that Wednesday’s showcase will start at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm GMT and will last for approximately 40 minutes.
The company said it will be “mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games launching in the first half of 2023”.
The Nintendo Direct presentation will be viewable on YouTube, and we’ve embedded the stream at the top of this page.
Upcoming first-party games include Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe (February 24), Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon (March 17) and Pikmin 4 (2023).
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to the popular Switch launch title Breath of the Wild, is set for release on May 12 and could launch alongside a special edition Switch OLED console.
Ahead of today’s event, Nintendo briefly listed Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for $69.99 on the US eShop before removing the price. If this is to be the game’s actual price, it will mark the first time Nintendo has charged more than $59.99 for a standard edition of a digital Switch game.
In late January, the Nintendo eShop page for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was updated, potentially indicating that a new release date for the long-delayed game could be announced soon.
Nintendo said this week that it’s not planning to cut Switch hardware or software prices as the console prepares to enter its seventh year on the market.
Switch shipments reached 122.55 million units as of December 2022, a feat only bettered by Nintendo’s DS handheld (154.02 million) and Sony’s PlayStation 2 (155 million).
