DALL-E mini has gone viral on social media over the past few days thanks to its quick and easy ability for internet users to create their own AI-generated art, and without the need for any artistic skills. AI algorithms can be found in abundance now, with many services and products relying on them for various reasons. Social networks also actively utilize algorithms to help with recommendations, with TikTok’s algorithm so far providing to be one of the most effective examples.

Created by the non-profit AI research group OpenAI, DALL-E is a neural network that’s capable of generating images based on text descriptions. However, DALL-E was created as more of a proof-of-concept and wasn’t really designed for internet users. This is where DALL-E mini comes in.

Getting started with DALL-E mini is fairly simple as it doesn’t require much more than heading over to the Hugging Face website. Actually using DALL-E mini is equally as simple, as all the user needs to do is decide on the words that their artwork will be inspired by. Type the words in the text box at the top of the page and then hit the “Run” button to start the program. The AI will then take over, ‘paint’ the art, and generate the results. As an example, the image shown at the top of this article was created by typing in “space,” “ocean” and “Shiba Inu,” the latter of which is the breed of dog popular with Dogecoin and other meme coins.
