How to Get Guilmon in Digimon Survive

Guilmon is a downloadable Digimon that players can get within the first month of Digimon Survive's release. Digimon is an RPG that was first released back in 1997, and it was intended to be a rival to the growing popularity of the Tamagotchi pocket monsters. Since then, Digimon has evolved to games, manga, anime, a card game and merchandise. The newest game in the franchise, Digimon Survive, promises a darker survival experience. Alongside this release, players can download Guilmon, a Velociraptor-styled Digimon that is a veteran to the series.

With the release of this much-anticipated game, first teased back in 2018 and delayed in 2020, players will get the chance to download special Digimon by pre-ordering the game's physical copy or purchasing an online version. Unlike other games, Digimon Survive does not have a pre-order bonus or DLC packs available in stores, so players will need to take advantage of what they are offering: Guilmon.

Players can get Guilmon in the game by either pre-ordering the game's physical version or buying its digital version in Digimon Survive's first month of its release. Once players obtain the game in either way, they must boot it up before August 30, 2022 to claim DLC bonuses that contain Guilmon. For players who pre-ordered physical copies, they will receive a code in the box to redeem in the console's online store.

Once players satisfy the conditions to download Guilmon in Digimon Survive, they will not be able to play with the Digimon right away. If players have successfully downloaded Guilmon, they will get a message that says Guilmon is obtainable from the menu screen after completing the equipment
