Horizon Forbidden West has been out for well over a month now, and though some believe the game's release may have been slightly overshadowed by Elden Ring, plenty of gamers have been exploring the sequel to the hit PlayStation exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn. With an expansive new map, story, and set of machines, Horizon Zero Dawn has plenty of content for players to dig into, and where the map is concerned there are plenty of secrets to be found.
Some of these secrets, though, are seemingly best left undiscovered, as one player found out while exploring the Sheerside Mountains. Among the mountains is a rebel outpost known as The Greypeak. While players can get to the location by foot, it's recommended they travel through the air if they want to find the strange glitch in Horizon Forbidden West. Once arriving at The Greypeak, players will be able to spot an odd cave. To reach the cave, they must clamber up the slope to its left before gliding down into its entrance. Once a player is in the cave is where things get strange.
Horizon Forbidden West Update 1.09 Makes Secret Quality of Life Change
A quick jump in the cave will reveal that it is in fact a bottomless pit to the center of Horizon Forbidden West's world. Players will immediately glitch outside of the map, though by gliding they can travel underneath the world, seeing Horizon Forbidden West's mountain ranges from a weird angle. Glitches like this have happened before in Horizon Forbidden West, and there's even been a similar case in the Sheerside Mountains where a player fell through an invisible base.
