Hocus Pocus 2 star Doug Jones reveals how his iconic character Billy Butcherson looks exactly the same nearly 30 years after the original movie was filmed. Released in 1993, Hocus Pocus centered on a whimsical trio of witches called the Sanderson sisters, played by Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, who aimed to stay young forever. Jones' performance as the undead antagonist Billy Butcherson was a standout in the original family flick, charming audiences with his creepy yet lovable demeanor.
Disney officially greenlit Hocus Pocus 2 in 2020, beckoning audiences to wonder what original cast members would be back. Fortunately for diehard viewers, the antagonists from the first film all signed on, with Jones reprising his zombie-like alter ego for the highly-anticipated sequel. As the Anne Fletcher-helmed production began shooting across Rhode Island, eagle-eye onlookers caught glimpses of the cast back in their legendary costumes. A first look at Jones filming as Billy Butcherson made it seem as if no time had passed at all.

Jones explained how he was able to look exactly the same as Billy Butcherson almost three decades later during an appearance on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum.
