When it comes to horror games, aliens are surprisingly underutilized. While aliens have made plenty of appearances in shooters and action games, it's relatively rare to see them pop up in pure horror titles. That's what makes the upcoming survival-horror game Greyhill Incident so intriguing, as it features classic-style grey aliens and UFOs in a horror game setting.
Developer Refugium Games released a new trailer for Greyhill Incident earlier this month. Greyhill Incident is set in 1992, with the titular town of Greyhill tormented by bizarre occurrences that they can't explain. The residents of Greyhill take matters into their own hands, boarding up their homes in an attempt to wait out the extraterrestrial threat.

The player character, Ryan Baker, is tasked with exploring Greyhill after-dark, armed with a baseball bat and a revolver. Baker will need to avoid being found by the hostile Greys, all the while helping his neighbors by completing various tasks. This is all according to the game's Steam page, which paints Greyhill Incident as a creepy first-person horror game that looks to be somewhat reminiscent of other first-person horror titles like Outlast.
Greyhill Incident's aesthetic is reminiscent of Outlast, but it also calls to mind alien invasion films, particularly M. Night Shyamalan's 2002 sci-fi horror movie Signs. Not only will Greyhill Incident feature farmland and cornfields to explore, like the protagonists of Signs, but there's even a character wearing a tinfoil hat, like Joaquin Phoenix's character did in the movie.
