Developer Spiders has officially unveiled a GreedFall prequel, GreedFall II: The Dying World, which will come to PC and consoles sometime in 2024. GreedFall launched to favorable reviews in September 2019, arriving at a time when RPG fans were sorely missing traditional role-playing experiences from the likes of BioWare and Bethesda Game Studios. While multiple nations make political power plays in an attempt to rule the magic and beast-filled land, the player character — De Sardet — represents a neutral figure whose diplomatic alliance can either lean in favor of the conquering nations or Teer Fradee's native inhabitants. GreedFall's deep RPG mechanics and rich lore ensured it became a fan favorite among 2019 releases. And it's clear Spiders has even bigger plans for the nascent franchise's future.
