Google dominates the headlines early on Thursday with its announcement related to the Pixel 6a. After a long time, India gets a new Pixel and that too on the same day as the rest of the world. The Pixel 6a is the more affordable variant of the Pixel 6 flagship launched last year and succeeds the dated Pixel 4a in India. Google has revealed the price, the early bird offers, as well as the sale date. If you were planning to pick up the Nothing Phone (1) or the iPhone SE 3, you just got another option to ponder on.
The Google Pixel 6a is available on only a single variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage at a price of Rs. 43,999. Sale will start from July 28 and you can pre-order the device from today. Unlike the global markets, India is only getting the Charcoal (black) and Chalk (white) colours. As part of the offers, Axis Bank card users can get an instant discount of ₹4,000, which effectively brings the price down to ₹39,999. Those having an older Pixel device are likely to get an exchange discount of up to Rs. 6000 on the phone as well. Non-Pixel models will fetch an exchange discount of Rs. 2000.
Along with the Pixel 6a, Google has also launched the Pixel Buds Pro at a price of Rs. 19,990. The Pixel Buds Pro takes on the Apple AirPods Pro and brings special features such as Active Noise Cancellation that still allows for 7 hours of battery life (11 hours without ANC).
The Google Pixel 6a features a 6.1-inch OLED display with 60Hz refresh rate. The phone retains the trendy dual-tone design from the Pixel 6, and even retains the glass-metal build.
