Video game release dates seem to be fickle things nowadays. Due to development constraints and games being more ambitious and difficult to make, a lot of companies become unable to meet their initially planned release date and instead are forced to push the launch of a game back in order to prevent a game being played by fans when it isn't yet completed. The game was initially set to launch in 2021, but was since pushed back into a vague 2022 date. Now, halfway through 2022, fans are growing somewhat agitated as they still haven't been granted a God of War Ragnarok release date. There have been plenty of rumors surrounding release dates for the game, including potential news of God of War Ragnarok even being delayed into 2023.
