However, while the tutorial does a pretty good job at explaining the basics, there are still some areas that need to be addressed. So here are some tips for beginner players that are ready to plunge into this sometimes unforgiving game.

You are not defenseless, but that doesn't mean that violence is the ultimate answer. Even a one-on-one fight can be a death sentence, and you can often find groups of two to three people patrolling an area or inspecting something. A lot of the enemies will often carry firearms, and one or two shots will be fatal in most cases.
On higher difficulties, this becomes even more of a problem, with the Full Moon difficulty mode increasing the damage enemies deal to you, and making resources more scarce.
But you have the ultimate weapon at your disposal: the shadows. Lurking around in the dark, you can safely bypass dangerous groups or eliminate your enemies one by one and hide the bodies. You can peek around corners, set traps, and eliminate light sources to make your journey through the shadows easier.
