All all-women eSports tournament for Valorant! That is what Asus is doing this Women’s Day. In a bid to offer more inclusivity for female gamers, Asus India is hosting a #WomenInEsports tournaments that will have only women gamers from across the country and beyond. New players can also register for the tournament by heading to Asus’ website. And as with regular eSports tournaments, there are cash prizes to be won.
The all-women tournament will have professional women gaming teams and esports enthusiasts from South East Asia to participate in the tournament and win lots of cash prizes. The event will be hosted over a span of three days, with the winning team having chance to win Rs. 75,000 cash prize. The game of choice will be Valorant and players will need to be familiar with the title in order to have a good chance.
The event will be hosted over a span of three days. The Qualifiers will be held on March 7 and March 8, while the Semi Finals will be held on March 9. The Grand Finale will be held on March 10.
“The winning team will take home Rs. 50,000 and the first runner up will win Rs. 25,000. With this initiative, ASUS India aims to celebrate the increasing gender diversity in the realm of e-sports,” says Asus.
“A number of teams have expressed keen interest to participate with members belonging to various geographies including India, Singapore, Philippines, and Vietnam. To name a few basis invitations, VLT x Asteria and Lethal esports Blue are a few popular teams that have signed up for this one of its kind tournament already,” says Asus in a media note.
