As the legendary Ghost Rider prepares to hit the road once more, Marvel is building up excitement with a brand-new trailer that emphasizes the creepy adventures he’s about to undertake. Johnny Blaze’s career as the Spirit of Vengeance has literally taken him to hell and back and forced him into confrontations with some of the most terrifying demons around. As a new series kicks off in Marvel's Year of Vengeance, the trailer promises readers that Blaze’s next ride will be his most horrific yet.
Created by Gary Friedrich, Roy Thomas and Mike Ploog, the Johnny Blaze incarnation of Ghost Rider first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #5. Originally a motorcycle stuntman, Blaze made a deal with the evil Mephisto which resulted in him being bound to a demon named Zarathos. Paired with a vengeful spirit, Blaze became the Ghost Rider and is compelled to punish the wicked souls of the world. Since he originally took up the role, Blaze has served as the Spirit of Vengeance off and on, and even became the king of Hell before being deposed.

However, it seems as though Johnny is about to have no choice but assume the Ghost Rider title once more. In a new trailer released by Marvel Entertainment, Blaze is tormented by haunting visions and otherworldly imagery. Johnny isn’t alone in his despair though, with the trailer informing viewers “The world is full of darkness” and that “Danger lurks around every street corner.” Demons threaten elders and children, and repulsive imagery of eyes, wounds, and fire flash before fans.
