Genshin Impact Trailer Shows Off Kamisato Ayato Gameplay

The arrival of Genshin Impact's newest update is less than a day away, and MiHoYo's breakout hit RPG has been providing fans with plenty of reasons to be excited about the game's upcoming patch. 2.6 will usher in the long-awaited arrival of The Chasm with the mysterious region of Liyue plagued by issues with the Abyss Order rumored for several months leading up to its reveal. Alongside a new event bringing fan-favorite characters from Mondstadt, 2.6 will also introduce the RPG's newest character, Kamisato Ayato.

Kamisato Ayato has been rumored to be coming to Genshin Impact since the release of Inazuma last July, with everything from the character's voice actor to details of his gameplay being leaked frequently since December. So, when MiHoYo finally revealed near the start of Version 2.5 that the upcoming version would welcome the head of the Kamisato Clan, fans were understandably excited to finally see the long-rumored character in action. In line with the game's tradition, a previous trailer introduced Ayato's personality and backstory, with the most recent trailer showing the Hydro character's flashy swordsmanship in action.
