's Tighnari is getting a new English voice actor following the decision from HoYoverse to fire the original actor amidst abuse allegations. Tighnari was one of the first new characters of the Sumeru region and is a visible element of much of that region's main narrative.
Tighnari in 's English voiceovers was a role formerly assigned to Elliot Gindi, who has now been removed from the job following what HoYoverse is calling a "." The voice actor was the subject of many abuse allegations posted on Twitter in a comprehensive and unsettling document, which illustrated a long history of inappropriate behavior with fans — some of whom were reportedly underage.
Genshin Impact's official Twitter account broke the news yesterday that it was terminating its contract with Gindi and will be replacing him gradually.

Following the initial abuse allegations, Gindi corroborated in an apology that the screenshots in the document were real. A week later, HoYoverse's official Twitter officially announced the company's plans to move on from the voice actor. According to the tweet, a new Tighnari English voice actor is being sought already, with initial talks with the voice recording agency ongoing. The team plans to gradually phase out Tighnari's existing in-game voice lines, and will apparently keep players posted by issuing updates via announcements
