The most recent permanent map extension happened during Update 2.6 in which the popular mines of Chasm were introduced to the game. A new Genshin Impact leak seems to reveal additional information about one of the game's most popular locations.
Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Two New Artifact Sets for Version 3.0
One of the Genshin Impact's most mysterious locations is certainly the floating island known as Celestia. It can be seen in the sky above Teyvat, and it is rumored to be the residence of the gods. Genshin Impact stories claim that mortals who prove themselves worthy can actually ascend to Celestia and become a god. While Celestia's location is still unknown the current map arrangement shows that it's placed west of Stormterror's Liars and northwest of Qingyun Peak. A recent leak on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has apparently revealed an early model for this floating island.
Multiple replies in the comment section claim that fans should not have their hopes up since HoYoverse is probably replacing the current 2D model with a new one. At the moment, the floating island is represented by a single transparent image tilted slightly downwards. This is why Celestia appears almost horizontal when looking from Stormterror's Liars. Making a 3D model of Celestia certainly makes sense since it will make the island more realistic when looking from different angles.
