Genshin Impact Version 2.8 features rerun banners for three of Genshin Impact's 5-star characters, with a double banner for Kazuha and Klee in the first half, and a rerun of Yoimiya's banner in the second half. For Anemo-wielding Kazuha and Pyro DPS Yoimiya, the 2.8 update features their first reruns since they were added to Genshin Impact. This will be the second rerun for Pyro character Klee, who received her first rerun in June 2021. Most of Genshin Impact's 5-star playable characters can only be obtained through the game's gacha system, known as Wishes. Genshin Impact players can use Intertwined Fate or Primogems to wish on limited-time Character Event Wishes, in the hopes of procuring the promoted character who receives a drop-rate boost. Like many gacha games, Genshin Impact players can purchase a paid currency known as Genesis Crystals, which can be converted to Primogems at a 1:1 exchange rate, then used to make Wishes.
