Genshin Impact 2.6 Confirms Playable Ayato & Venti Banner Rerun
A recentGenshin Impact livestream detailed the upcoming 2.6 Update, which will officially add Kamisato Ayato as a playable character. The beloved action role-playing game launched in 2020, and since then developer HoYoverse has supported the game through a regular schedule of updates. While February saw an official Genshin Impact character reveal of Kamisato Ayato, the Hydro user will finally make his in-game debut in Version 2.6.
Genshin Impact boasts a large roster of unique characters, which players can acquire through the game's gacha gambling mechanic. Gamers are able to purchase Pulls, which function like a slot machine by giving them a random chance to successfully receive their desired character. This makes brand-new Genshin Impact characters extremely valuable, since players are not guaranteed to get their hands on the new hero before they disappear. The action RPG's popularity and closed testing beta lead to frequent leaks, which tease players with a new character's skill and style ahead of an official announcement. A large number of Genshin Impact leaks involving Ayato have been revealed in recent months, but soon the highly-anticipated hero will finally arrive.

An announcement trailer from Genshin Impact (via YouTube) officially confirms that Kamisato Ayato will be included in Version 2.6. The 5-star Hydro warrior, who uses a sword in combat, is the head of the Kamisato Clan and the brother of current playable hero Ayaka. The regal warrior seems to focus on speed and precision in battle, with powerful abilities summoning the power of water and rain. Alongside Ayato, Version 2.6 will also see a rerun of the banner for free-spirited Anemo character Venti.
