Mobile shooter Garena Free Fire promised us a BTS collaboration later in March, and today it delivers. As promised, Garena's newest global ambassadors have teamed up with the Singaporean developer to bring a collaborative event unlike anything we've ever seen before.
"Gen FF" as the event is called will begin with an in-game TV miniseries called "The Free Fire x BTS Show." Starring members of BTS, the show is described as a "collaboration variety show" where bandmates will talk about Garena Free Fire and engage in special activities.

Additionally, there will be a new music track in the lobby (performed by BTS, of course) as well as hand-drawn costumes made by BTS members. Garena Free Fire's map will also feature BTS-themed banners and artwork scattered throughout, providing players with a small preview of what's to come when the Free Fire x BTS collection releases its first phase of in-game cosmetics on March 24.
Garena Free Fire, for those still unaware, is the massively successful battle royale mobile shooter that hit a record 150 million daily active users in August of last year. It features 10-minute matches of 50 players all fighting to be the last person standing. If that sounds a lot like PUBG Mobile, you're right, and PUBG developer Krafton has even taken Garena to court over alleged copyright issues.
BTS, meanwhile, hasn't been shy about video game collaborations. Most recently the band appeared in Fortnite to perform their own concert, and BTS's producer partnered with Dead by Daylight to create a BTS-themed killer. BTS even has its own mobile dating game where you can go out with virtual representations of BTS's band members.
