Now, photos of actor Conleth Hill that were taken six years after the series' end prove that he is actually far from hairless.
Varys was known not only for his savvy for information but also for his distinct look, which consisted of a bald head and floor-length robes. Hill, the Irish actor who portrayed Varys in Game of Thrones, did such a remarkable job with the role that many fans were convinced he is bald (and even a eunuch) in real life.

In reality, Hill, now 57, sports a full head of hair, and on occasion, a beard to match. In previous interviews, he explained that he was forced to shave his head before every season of Game of Thrones, which was initially tough for him because he had never shaved his head in his life before. He even said it brought tears to his eyes a few times. Of course, he eventually got used to it, and it went on to become an iconic part of Varys' look. Most fans can't imagine Varys looking any other way, which is why they found Hill unrecognizable in his recent photos.
After Game of Thrones ended in 2019, Hill went on to star a number of other projects, including Dublin Murders, Vienna Blood, Holding, and the upcoming Magpie Murders.In all of these roles, he wasn't required to shave his head, so a lot of viewers didn't even realize it was him on-screen. Nowadays, Hill keeps his hair long and silver, just like Daenerys Targaryen.
