That franchise is so big that Nintendo and The Pokémon Company often save prospective announcements for a separate Pokémon showcase.With Pokémon Day (an anniversary event that celebrates the launch of the original games) taking place in a couple weeks, fans fully expect to see such a showcase then and there’s already one prevailing theory making the rounds.Said theory claims that, with now a thing on the, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company will re-release the original handheld Pokémon games.What appears to have sparked this theory is an update to a disclaimer for Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Stadium.

When they were confirmed, however, it was noted that you couldn’t transfer your own pokémon from other games.Back in the day, part of the Pokémon Stadium games’ appeal was the ability to transfer your team from the Game Boy games and use them in the N64 game.That obviously won’t be possible with the Switch re-release since the console is incompatible with the original Game Boy.However, as spotted by, a recent Japanese trailer for the Switch’s online service briefly highlights Pokémon Stadium (around the 1:08 mark), where it’s noticed that the aforementioned disclaimer is no longer included, prompting speculation that Nintendo will introduce a way to transfer pokémon from other games after all.This obviously can’t be done with the newer games like, but a re-release of those original Game Boy games could come with an option to digitally transfer pokémon.The original Game Boy games were digitally
